| The Hill | Lindsey Graham claims that Biden is scared of pro-Palestine activists

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S. C. ) points to a visual aid during a press conference on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, to talk about immigration parole as negotiations to increase funding for border security are being worked on in the Senate.
Sen. Lindsey Graham ( R ) of South Carolina argued in an interview on Wednesday that President Biden was afraid of pro-Palestine protesters and that he should intervene.
” He’s afraid of the protesters”, Graham said on Fox News’s” America Reports” to hosts Sandra Smith and John Roberts, in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.
Following the incident at Columbia University and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA ), where both the New York Police Department ( NYPD ) and the Los Angeles Police Department ( LAPD ) cracked down on pro-Palestine protesters at the two institutions, Graham’s comments come after violence broke out at the two campuses.  ,
Graham continued in the Fox News interview that” there are extreme elements within the Democratic Party and the nation at large that may actually help eliminate the Israeli state.”  ,
Graham even claimed,” There’s a real Hamas flap of the Democratic Party”.
Following weeks of campus protests that focused on Arab human rights and the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza as a result of the Israel-Hamas conflict, events on Tuesday at Columbia and UCLA came to mind. The rallies have also faced charges of hatred, which demonstrators have pushed up against.  ,
In a statement released last month, Columbia protest leaders said,” We are frustrated by media distractions focusing on inflammatory individuals who do not represent us.” Our people have been misidentified by a politically inspired mob, according to wikipedia.
We strongly reject any form of racism or bigotry, and we are vigilant against non-students from attempting to stifle the formation of student solidarity,” they continued. ” Arab, Muslim, Arab, Jewish, Black and pro- Arab classmates and acquaintances who represent the whole richness of our nation”.
The Democratic National Committee and the White House have been asked for reply by The Hill.
