NEW DELHI: The UAE is already experiencing extreme weather conditions, prompting the release of an orange notice. Big rains and storms have swept the area, causing a number of precautionary measures and disrupting normal life.
On Thursday, as the unpredictable weather reached its peak, people were advised to stay inside, and isolated work was enforced across both public and private sectors. To ensure the protection of students, academic institutions switched to distance learning. Additionally, to prevent injuries in the sweltering weather, common recreational areas like parks and beaches were partially closed.
In light of the extreme conditions, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has advised people to exercise precaution. ” Avoid driving unless absolutely needed. If needed, drive with caution and be diligent and notice to ensure the safety of all street people”, the sensitive recommended. In order to improve rankings during heavy rain, drivers are also instructed to apply low-beam lighting.
Due to the severe weather conditions that were present throughout the United Arab Emirates, Emirates was forced to cancel several airlines. Furthermore, Dubai International Airport ( DXB ) has decreased the number of flight operations due to the adverse weather.
The Met department reported that around evening, rain-producing sky initially appeared in the Al Dhafra and Al Sila areas east of Abu Dhabi. By 1:30 AM, these circumstances had spread to the eastern islands of Abu Dhabi, where small thunderstorms and moderate to large rains were visible.
Changes and health advice have been published regularly by Dubai Police and the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). Interstate bus services were terminated, and some roads were made to close to lessen the risk of accidents due to rough and waterlogged roads. Importantly, heavy rains started around evening, intensifying in places like Dubai where thunder was observed as early as 2: 35 AM.
Officials have stressed the importance of firmly adhering to safety instructions. The government has been advised to avoid unnecessary go, and those who need to leave are advised to exercise extreme caution.
Crisis services are on high alert as the situation continues to change, and the government guarantees that all essential steps are in place to control the effects of the winds and protect the public.
