The Republican National Committee ( RNC ) intends to overhaul the “Bank Your Vote” initiative, which was spearheaded by former chair Ronna McDaniel, in favor of a new initiative that, according to the RNC, will aim to bank Republican votes. After The Federalist inquired about the departure from McDaniels ’ program on Friday, the “Bank Your Vote” website (archived here ) was taken down.
The web is temporarily unavailable as a result of our refocusing our operations on growing and declining vote, according to RNC and Trump representative Danielle Alvarez. Banking seats means encouraging citizens to take advantage of early voting opportunities, either via email or in person.
The RNC announced to The Federalist that its new strategy would add a” Grow The Vote” program to its list of initiatives aimed at reaching unreachable Republican voters. Alvarez said the RNC has “paid staffers and volunteer-powered field programs in every battleground state and they are expanding regularly, ” but he did not provide any statistics or certain facts, expressing concern about giving away their plan when The Federalist inquired about how the new program may conduct vote banking and what indicators it would use to target citizens. The RNC offered to provide more information, but it was unable to provide more information by publishing day.
Recent letter from RNC Chairman Michael Whatley to team gave a brief summary of the RNC’s programs to” Grow The Vote” by reaching demography who might not otherwise vote Republican. The letter also details a campaign to” Bank the Vote” by encouraging Republicans to use first ballot and mail-in. Whatley’s first week on the job included plans to continue the” Bank Your Vote” initiative and the announcement that” Grow The Vote” would be launched in addition to it. In a separate letter sent to staff, which was sent to staff by Whatley.
The original” Bank Your Vote” action had state-specific sites for electors that contained information about deadlines for requesting a mail-in vote and options for signing up for memories of voting dates. The RNC did not confirm whether the branded action may include state-specific sites where voters could find out about first election.
According to a source familiar with the RNC’s” Bank Your Vote” and” Grow The Vote” initiatives,” The RNC is good trying to move away from the brainstorming and action that was created under the Ronna McDaniel management.” At the end of the day, they seem to serve the same purpose; it’s just a matter of quitting the previous administration. ”
“The [RNC] is still very much in an organizational phase, it does n’t mean that it won’t be successful, but right now it ’s still widely believed that they’re still trying to line up a game plan that will ultimately be effective this November, ” the source added. A ‘Bank Your Vote’-like initiative is undoubtedly going to start. What remains to be seen is whether it will succeed. ”
Two unknown Republicans were cited by NBC News last year who claimed that the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee have fewer than five team members in each of the battle states. Alvarez claimed that Alvarez’s claim was misleading. Progressives have long capitalized on first and mail-in election, with information showing they have just increased their first ballot lead over Democrats since 2018, according to The Washington Post.
While Republicans have frequently struggled to defeat Democrats in first voting, states like Virginia, with Republican governors as leaders, have dominated. Glenn Youngkin, have seen some achievement. WVEC reported that the difference between first in-person votes cast by Democrats and Republicans in Virginia had narrowed, according to statistics from October 2023.
According to the review, “The fraction of Republican votes has increased by approximately 8 % since 2021.”
