After defence minister Yoav Gallant publicly declared his criticism to long-term Israeli law that, President Joe Biden is backing an inner uprising within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government regarding the fate of wartime Gaza.
Gallant delivered an unexpected televised address in which he stated that he preferred law by non-terrorist Palestinians with assistance from Arab states and opposed to Israeli military law or civilian rule in Gaza following Hamas.
Gallant said (original attention, with language provided by Israel’s Government Press Office ):
The military campaign’s conclusion may be accompanied by social activity. The “day after Hamas” will only be realized when international actors, including Arab organizations, take control of Gaza, and establish a governing solution to Hamas ‘ law. This, above all, is an interest of the State of Israel.
Unfortunately, this issue was not raised for debate and worse, ]a ] n alternative was not raised in its replacement.
Uncertainty, is in fact, a choice – this leads to a hazardous program, which promotes the idea of Israeli military and civilian leadership in Gaza.
…
I must say once more that I did not support the establishment of Israeli military law in Gaza.  , Israel had no create human law in Gaza.
The defence establishment and the IDF bear the burden of dismantling Hamas and maintaining complete freedom of operation in the Gaza strip, but it also depends on the establishment of a governing body in Gaza, which is under the control of the Israeli government and all of its various organizations.  ,
Its application will form Israel’s security for decades away.  ,
I request that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu make a decision and consider that there will be no longer any civilian control over the Gaza strip, that Israel will never take over military power, and that there will be no immediate discussion of a Palestinian-led, governing alternative to Hamas in the Gaza band.
The Biden administration, which has been pushing for Palestinian Authority law in Gaza after the battle, en route to a Palestinian state, applauded Gallant’s notes. The Times of Israel reported:
We agree with the security minister that Israel has no plans to control the country the IDF clears, allowing Hamas to resurrect there. This is concerning because we want to discover Hamas be defeated, according to a senior Biden administration official who spoke to The Times of Israel in a statement.
In relatively idealistic terms, Netanyahu has outlined a potential future for Gaza as a hub for Palestinian trade and commerce, though without formal sovereignty. The Israeli authorities responded to a question from Breitbart News on Wednesday that the proper preparing for” the day after” had to wait until Hamas ‘ battle.
Netanyahu himself responded to Gallant’s speech on Wednesday by making his own speech in which he declared that he would oppose the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank if Gaza, the former” Hamastan,” was changed into” Fatahstan.”
( As Breitbart News, citing Israel’s Channel 7, reported Tuesday, Fatah claims to have participated in the October 7 attack, and the Palestinian Authority continues to subsidize and celebrate terror. )
However, significantly- right lawmakers demanded that Gallant become fired from the authorities. Gallant was defended by Benjamin Gantz, the primary enemy of Netanyahu, who sits alongside the prime minister in an incident government of national unity, while opposition leader Yair Lapid claimed that the government had become a mess.
Gallant and the Israel Defense Forces ( IDF) Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi were both criticized by retired Brigadier General Amir Avivi, a well-known conservative figure, who are known for pressuring the civilian leadership to develop a plan for postwar Gaza.
Avivi stated ( in Hebrew ) that postwar governance had to be debated before a militarily defeated Hamas.

” Creating an alternate does take time. You will have to take responsibility for the]Gaza ] Strip, also for the humanitarian]situation]. There’s nothing to be done]about that ]. … But that’s not today! Today, we have to earn”!
Hamas, consistently, claimed that the social turmoil was a signal that Israel was losing the war in Gaza and the extremists were winning.
Gallant has previously publicly criticized Netanyahu, most recently in March 2023, when the security minister made a public statement opposing the prime minister’s judicial reforms while protests erupted in the streets.
The White House has supported Gallant, Gantz, Lapid, and others who have challenged Netanyahu. The latest crisis, which appeared to be completely unwarranted by any one event, may be a result of the Obama administration’s outcry against the Israeli attack on Hamas in Rafah, which the Americans opposed.
In the face of Israel’s resolve to strike Hamas in Rafah, where the evil team’s next battalions are based, the White House has withheld some arms shipments, while trying to minimize the problems by claiming that Israel’s assault is not yet a “major” operation, though it continues to expand.
Israel may face the possibility of a so-called” color revolution,” supported by the Biden administration, which has disliked the Netanyahu state since it was elected in November 2022, according to Breitbart News.
